Indictione III, Valentiniano Augusto IV et Neoterio co(n)s(ulibu)s. ... columna haud longe ab ecclesia constituta est, quae argenteam Theodosii Magni statuam ferens hactenus contemplatur.

Parastaseis 68:
Ἐπὶ Θεοδοσίου οὖν τοῦ μεγάλου στήλη ἑτέρα τῷ κίονι διαδεχεται, ἀγυραῖα καὶ αὐτή, ἀλλὰ καὶ Ἀρκαδίου καὶ Ὁνωρίου πρὸς τῇ γῇ, ὡς ὁ Θεόδωρός φησι.
Trans: Marcellinus Comes A 11, 62:
In the 3rd indiction, under the consulship of Valentinian Augustus for the 4th time, and Neoterius. ... A column was set up not far from the church [= Hagia Sophia], which can still be seen carrying a silver statue of Theodosius the Great.

Parastaseis 68:
Under Theodosius the Great another statue was substituted on the column, also of silver; with Arcadius and Honorius at ground level, as Theodore says. (trans. Cameron and Herrin)
