Instructions

The database can be browsed, or searched – either by typing in words under ‘Simple Search’, or by using any combination of drop-down menus, radio buttons, and boxes under ‘Advanced Search’.

The database contains three main levels, or pages, of information. The first level shows twenty items to a screen with a single thumbnail image and some basic information. The second level, accessed by clicking the LSA-number, shows thumbnails of more pictures when available and a fuller information grid that also gives the text and translation of relevant texts and inscriptions on bases. The third level is a Discussion page that contains a fuller description and discussion of the item, accessed by clicking the Read Discussion panel at the bottom of the second-level grid. The vast majority of entries, but not quite all, have a Discussion page.
